Philadelphia, PA to Lansing, Michigan.

Record time: 10 hours and 47 minutes
Record time with the ex wife: 14 hours and 59 minutes
Longest time ever: 16 hours and 30 mintues (which is why I'll NEVER caravan out again)

You have 6 months :rolleyes2:

And it's not just driving from Pennsylvania. If I lived in Pittsburgh it would only be a 6 hour drive, Pfft that's nothing. I'm coming from Philly, which is right next to New Jersey, which is WAY on the other side.

I'm more than 1/2 way there, BEFORE I LEAVE PA :rolleyes2:

:panic: how dare you! I've got major plans for mine, I can't stop caring about her..

I think I have a little project for next winter... Hmm... No more tricks up my sleeve for this ASS. I'm saving my money for something better. ;)

03Sleepr 01-04-2013 09:11 PM

If my back is healed up then I'll be there, doc says I should be good as new in mid April.

so that means 03glgold has to caravan with me!!

I have to fix my car too, got a bad battery and it's missfiring like a mofo after new wires..

sleepyalero 01-04-2013 09:22 PM

Everyone request off work now so you can get it off

xXManwhoreXx 01-04-2013 09:58 PM

You cross some wires lol?

sleepyalero 01-05-2013 05:17 AM

just put my request to have June 14-17th off. i told my manager as well i need it off, if im schedualed on any of those days, tough shit for them. i told my manager i will be in michigan for 5 days in june. so i gave plenty of notice.

i plan on being there for all the days since i have yet to do that and enter the car show and hopefully she can win a trophy. she has yet to win one. :) (because i always come after the car show)

eric i hope your going that day to so we can roll together!

xXManwhoreXx 01-05-2013 11:41 PM

Would you all be mad at me if I don't show up in an Alero or Grand Am?

Hahahaha cuz I might not have said car when ASS comes around.

sleepyalero 01-10-2013 04:39 AM

We don't care what you come in. N body is preferred but last year I showed up in a 2010 dodge journey... (My car was at MMS) you just have to roll in the back of the pack because everyone wants to get photos/videos of the aleros in a row.

Nas Escobar 01-10-2013 04:49 AM

That sounds reasonable. I'm still shooting to get a coupe though, hopefully an Alero since that's what I was looking for originally before I got the Grand Am but right now, a Riviera sounds really tempting. I'm trynna keep it in the GM family since they have treated me right since I first learned how to drive.

sleepyalero 01-10-2013 04:54 AM

Gm is always nice ;)

Nas Escobar 01-10-2013 05:01 AM

Northstar.... Nuff said!

sleepyalero 01-10-2013 05:07 AM

xXManwhoreXx 01-10-2013 05:08 AM

On Saturday we all go to the Olds Homecoming show which is an all Olds show. You would have to sit that one out and park outside the show area.

Bad news everyone.
The German dude, got troubles with his exams, so the Bachelor thesis is on hold till next winter-semester (Sep. 13 - Feb. 14)

Seems like I won't be able to see all these Aleros together again :'( and all the awesome dudes (and gals???) that own 'em again.

soooo sad, sooo sad - oohh life, you gruel SOB

jawa 01-10-2013 05:37 PM

True story julian life is gruel

falloutboy 01-10-2013 06:42 PM

But plane tickets are expensive, especially if you travel this far just for a WE.

But who knows, maybe there will still be an opportunity to come by.
Never loose hope

I honestly don't mind that. I planned on sitting the whole thing out and go for the sake of going. I knew from the beginning I wouldn't be able to really do much with my car even though they share the same side profile, but I got the Pontiac, not the Olds and I had accepted being excluded from a lot of things.

So you guys just tell me where I can participate and where I can't and we'll all be good. Besides, I'm a GM dude. The fact that I can go to an Olds show is reason enough to make me want to go to Michigan. I just have to get this car ready for the trip. The futhest I've driven it is to Whitehall, Pennsylvania. That was 1500 miles in one day (round trip). I've never driven anywhere further, plus I'm rolling solo so Idk how it would affect me either. I might pitstop in Youngstown Ohio and visit a friend if I go through with this.

if you do come to ASS, you can just leave your car at the hotel and roll with me to the Homecoming show (olds show) unless you wanna cruise your car with all of us, but the offer is there for the taking.
