AleroB888 02-23-2013 09:13 PM

took 16 inch Alero wheels/tires out of storage, put them on the red '03, took the 15 inch Alero wheels/tires off the '03 and put them on the '99, took the Chevy 15's off the '99, put 2 in storage and kept 2 out for uh, utility use :p

so we're rolling all Olds again, atm

on top of that, the 16s on the '03 have the original Goodyears on them, so they need to be replaced soon. Don't know to go for max Summer traction, or just cheapo light this time

My winter set of fuzion hri's (16's - all season) are bald and still get great traction in the snow. Ill have to get a quick picture of how low the tread is. But I ran em a couple times last winter, and to Ohio and back home for mms. Since I didn't want my 18s at his shop cause they are my nice wheels. But despite how low they get great traction so I don't feel the need to replace them until they become a problem.

But now, I might have to sell them because with the new bear brakes the 16s won't fit so now I gotta find a set of 17s. Or just not get new tires/rims. And keep the 18s since the car stays in the garage for winter.. But if I HAVE to take the car out in the snow I wouldn't want the 18s out In it.. decisions decisions.

my 16's are about like that, but they're also 10 years old, starting to have crackage :)

I have 2 firestone winterforce tires that were on mine for 3 months. fits the 15' rims. They are still in my garage if other of you need some cheap tires.

annoying weekend for me

friday
- flattened intake manifold flange
- scraped gasket material off surfaces and cleaned
- found out the laser cut gasket i had my coworker make didn't fit on the car, caused a huge vacuum leak. (used the outdated DXF before I finalized the drawing)

saturday
- hand cut new intake manifold gasket

- scraped old material off, prepped surfaces, again

sunday
- hand cut new throttle body gasket
- prepped both surfaces
- installed everything, works.

a few days ago
exhaust tips

coming soon (tomorrow-ish)
- oil pressure gauge
- fender stripes
- remove and reinstall turbo using Rocksett on housing bolts.

Well today was interesting.....driving to my sisters house and the battery light comes on....ok....now i'm worried. Keep driving and the radio goes real low....even more worried now....then a couple min later all my gauges turn off....then the car dies right at a busy intersection....luckily i was able to get over to the right AND luckily i was within 3 miles of my mechanic (tow company charges when over 3 miles). So right now she's sitting in the lot waiting to get worked on....which i'm too mad about....any other time i would be pissed but i've been putting off bringing it in for a while now so it's about time i get all these "glitches" fixed. Just hope it's not too much....poor Robin :( Def not taking care of her like i should be

Finally fixed the window clips earlier today, it took but an hour and now I can use the drive thru and car wash without opening my door!

Thought about replacing the fuel filter but I didn't have jack stands on hand.

I was about to say the same thing...

Anyways, I fixed the tire on my Grand Am. Had a nail in it.

Most drive through car washes suck...anytime any of my families vehicles has been through one it has had to be rewashed anyways so there is really no point...not only that but they are more expensive than if you just get out and wash it

xXManwhoreXx 02-25-2013 03:00 AM

If I buy new window clips who would put them on at ass for me lol
