If you want a good sound on a budget... Get a 4 channel amp (bridgeable for the rear channels) and run a single 10" or 12" sub in the back (sealed enclosure) and then as stated above a decent set of components for the front channels and drop the rears entirely... This will give you the best overall sound without breaking the bank. |

You need to come see me then! This is what I do for a living. |

It is what ive been doing for money lately. Im only 15 so getting 20-40 per install is working out nice :) EDIT: Plus I buy computer parts cheap. Build one. Resell it for around 150+ dollars in profit. I will even come to their house and install it along with all their perhipials. makes them happy and I get money or even more for a tip haha |

Well I think since AftermathAlero is right in the area (Dallas) I think he's got ya beat... and I'm assuming that he works out of a shop that does this, so you should be able to get equipment from an authorized retailer that will carry a warranty (and warranty towards the install)... Sorry Itsbmw, but you know if you're good enough you'd be better off getting a job as an installer at a shop rather than going freelance, it'll help support the market and guarantee people that they're getting warrantied equipment... That's one of the biggest complaints I get all the time is when somebody buys stuff online and brings it to me thinking that I can help get it fixed or replaced for them since I'm an authorized dealer. |
You can get something great within you budget off craigslist
|
Thats where I just bought my System haha. Craigslist ftw. WHen I can drive I will get a job as an installer. since you gotta drive the people's cars I think you have to have your license. and i am gonna get MECP training along with my A+ certification. I love car audio and Computers. I am taking auto next year at school so I will hopefully get better with mechanics. a plus is every friday you can work on your own car in the class, get help etc.

I am only bias towards buying from an authorized retailer (protects you and the industry)... I am not a Morel dealer, but I don't argue the quality of their products... And in my daily driver I run a single 12" Boss audio sub and Boss amp with a basic Pioneer headunit to prove to people that you can still get a good sound out of even cheap equipment if the install is done right.

See that's what I like to hear, cause I hear of kids all the time that wonder why their same sub as their buddies doesn't sound as good... cause you threw it in a prefab whereas your buddy built or had a box built. Sooo many people underestimate the enclosure, but it can make or break (sometimes literally) a sub. |

^ Although I wouldn't wish Sony subs on my worst enemy :p lol
