during winter i always keep at least a half tank of gas so my lines dont freeze up. i heard its always cold in canada, lol.

meadus101 05-05-2010 03:59 PM

Gas is at about 3/4 of a tank. and it's about 6 C today. (43 F)

So it's not that cold today at all. It's not a freezing issue.

Update,

Car will now try to catch. It's getting fuel.

It's Ignition system related, so I'll be calling a Different shop than last time tomorrow.

I'll let you know what the actual issue is when I get it back this time.

Maybe not enough fuel to run. Wasn't the pump suspect?

Appreciate the effort, but This is a 2.4L.

Nate: Nowhere with a garage.

Fuel Pump Assembly.....$299.99
Fuel Filter...................... $10.99
Strapping...................... $53.99
Exhaust Repairs............. $12.96
Labour.......................... $115.00

Subtotal 492.93
Tax 64.08

So, I'm out 557.01, and it happened to be the fuel pump.

The exhaust repairs are my favorite though, I can't even hear my car anymore.

What do you guys think of the costs?

cherrington17 05-12-2010 12:45 PM

They put it in ur pooper w.o consent, with the fuel pump cost....

clutch1 05-12-2010 01:32 PM

I thought it wasn't the pump?? I'm so lost.

Not a bad price from a shop though.

meadus101 05-12-2010 01:48 PM

Yeah, I was sure it wasn't the pump, but he disagreed. I've used this guy for a few years and he's a pretty decent guy, so I just agreed.

He said the fuel filter was pretty blocked too.

Cliff8928 05-13-2010 01:56 AM

That actually isn't that bad of a price for what you got.. The labor rate is good that's for sure.

meadus101 07-14-2010 03:28 AM

Moved to Alberta, the Car is back in NL where it's goin to stay. I'll be less active, but i'll try to stay around guys.

Thanks for the help and knowledge over the years. I appreciate everything you've done for me guys.
