I don't know yet how any of this is going to work, but the first thing to do is see if the manfacturer will accept the project. Then if we have a positive response, I will work out the details on how payment with be made with the vendor (be it through PFYC or directly to the manufacturer).
I will not be posting on other forums until we get a positive response from the manufacturer.

unchained01 12-02-2011 10:02 AM

I wasnt singling anyone out i was just trying to make it alittle easier thats all I WANT THIS TO THRU TOO !! thats wht i am committed like Billy to buying more than i need to help. So I am sorry if i stepped on anyones toes here

mfuller 12-02-2011 06:26 PM

Reply from Brian @ PFYC:

Matt, I'm in contact with our manufacturer and should have some more details maybe early to mid next week on the requirements and costs involved.

Thank you.

start saving...we need everyone we can get.

alerored04 12-03-2011 11:13 AM

Good luck guys. I tried this once before and only about five of almost thirty people came through in the end. I hope you have better luck than I did.

mfuller 12-03-2011 11:23 AM

I think that if the manufacturer and the vendor gives us a go, we ae going to put a fairly strict time limit on this - I will not let this string out over 6 months. If people want in, they'll have to pony up quick. It isn't fair to anyone to take a month to get all the orders and funding together.
We should consider ourselves fortunate that PFYC is even talking to their manufacturing partner.

03Sleepr 12-03-2011 11:34 AM

I guess I'll start saving and see what I can come up with, has anybody posted this on any malibu clubs or gaoc? we could get some interest there..

Papa Rad17 12-03-2011 01:01 PM

wow, thanks to you guys for taking the initiative and getting the ball rolling. as long as they arent some sort of crazy ridiculous price im in!

all good man, I just had to point out my opinion as well, seeing as I would have been excluded from the deal... I wish I had the resources to buy multiple sets, just to ensure this could happen... I really appreciate you and Billy offering to buy more to make it happen... I just hope I can get enough saved for the front bar in time.

Having said that, just out of curiosity, why did we do this before Christmas, instead of tax refund season when people generally have a bit of a return coming?? lol... :p

Papa Rad17 12-04-2011 01:12 AM

about how much should I start saving?

xbxradxsx 12-04-2011 09:04 AM

Once again, I'll throw this out there. Anyone debating these, I deff. recommend. One of the best upgrades I've done.

Hell, I really wish I had the money now to buy like 10 or so myself for future people that'd want them....

Based on what they previously sold for, anywhere from roughly $150 to $200 per bar. But don't hold me to that.

unchained01 12-04-2011 04:08 PM

Racing/Ricing season is over so things are slow for this type of business and they would be more receptive to small runs when they have more time And with more time we will get a superior product Also theses things dont start right away this is the lead time ( usually 30 to 60 days) needed to "get in line " for a small run

WE have a alot better chance now than we would in april to september

thats why i waited

Also ask on any forum GAGT 60degreev6 GAOC Jbody etc This is one of the best handling performance mods you can do for this platform for the money
You will very happy with the results

colonel6632 12-04-2011 09:58 PM

good chance im in

xXManwhoreXx 12-04-2011 10:26 PM

Fair enough, never really thought about the "off season" factor... It makes perfect sense to get in the odd parts for a smaller production run when they are not as busy doing the mainstream stuff... Also the timeline of 30-60 days should give people enough time to plan... If you cant save $200/bar then, hope someone can buy some extra's lol... I know it will be tight even for me, but I hope to be able to get 1 bar... I also know being a Canadian, it will be closer to $350 with the extra shipping and duties we suffer from...

xXManwhoreXx 12-04-2011 10:51 PM

Tw why do you only want the front. For my other cars I have had sway bars on, the rear was really where I noticed the difference

Thats why he only wants a front only.

mmorello82 12-05-2011 08:42 AM

Ok. So I have factory on the front and rear. Will I really notice a big difference? If I do, I'd be in too.

YES....as said in the posts before you....this is one of the best/most noticeable mods you can do to our cars. The stock sway bars SUCK....and they bend/twist easy.....these new ones are a lot stiffer and will help with "sway" while turning.

We need everyone we can get....BUT if you say your in....PLEASE stick with it.....dont back out last second....cause there are a lot of people depending on you to buy that set....every person counts.

Also....i though maybe if we couldnt get a CRAZY amount of people....would the people that want the bars be willing to pay a little more? so we can get this done....if this doesnt get done i will be looking elsewhere for some custom sway bars. Words cant describe how bad i want a set!

03Sleepr 12-05-2011 12:29 PM

edit.....150-200 per bar....

03glgold 12-05-2011 02:36 PM

well we will just have to see where it would fall together to make the order... I think the only way that I am going to be able to go for it is if the buy doesn't happen until the summer.

emncfi 12-05-2011 08:59 PM

I can be in for a definite, but as with two, I just need the front

mmorello82 12-05-2011 10:55 PM

I'm in. Just tell me when and a final price

Lol, Yeah. You do the back first and think "there's no way the front can be as bad as they say......." Doing the front SUCKED, but don't let that turn yall away. You still see a difference with the front, just not quite as much as with the back. BUY THESE THINGS!!!

It's easy......just pay a mechanic to do it while you sit back and light up a Camel.
