did a preliminary wash because it was nasty since it has been through some mud as of late, also repainted wipers so they are all one color, but I am not really satisfied with the finish so I might sand and redo them...then I took it on an 80-90 mile round trip because I figured it was sad I got rid of all it's bugs (really went to visit theirishpope because I hadn't seen him for a bit and to figure out a little more what was going on)

It was not the person I talked to 's fault. He put a new battery in it for me today and everything. When I got there and we went to go do paper work another employee had taken a deposit on it earlier that afternoon. I watched him chuck the keys at his sales manger, he was mad to. it was quite the situation but I couldnt be mad at him (he was cool, older guy, had been doing it for years) we both kept our cool though and left. I talked to him on the phone after, Im not sure if he'll even be going to back to work he was so mad.

Unfortunately yes. They'd had on the lot for a couple months to, I was the only one who'd test drove in that time and shown serious interest. Apparently someone else had their eyes on it to. I'm going to be pissed when a new member pops up real soon with that car.

I'd doubt they would show up. More than likely it was someone that just wanted a 5 speed.... daily commuter.

Dash cap install today. Big brake upgrade and rust fixing tomorrow.

Unfortunately I don't think I have time to repair my side rust before ASS. :( I was going to do it this weekend but didn't have the metal I needed. Maybe I'll try a temporary fix to at least cover up the gaping holes.

Tomorrow might be picking up some 15lb Motegi TrakLite wheels with some basically new tires...

I'm driving to nm and I've been averaging 27 mpg doing 80 all day. Its so nice now that my car is running right again.

Edit; blew a tire in amarillo and talked walmart into putting on two tires in 10 minutes. Effing success.
