The 2.4 Turbo Stratus was only made in Mexico sadly. That is the same engine they used in the neon srt4 and the pt crusier gt. Why not get a neon srt4 they are not bad cars 230hp 250flbs tq and with little money u can make them real fast. You could also get a Subaru impreza rs 2.5 they are in ur price and there are a ton of subaru forums so u could learn about them and the aftermarket field for Subaru s is endless.

You don't FLY OFF THE ROAD when someone swerves a little bit....i said i dont think the guy was trying to run you off the road cause thats pretty messed up....he's trying to be a hot shot in alero passing on the right....be patient....there shouldn't be another car in the oncoming lane if your passing on the left....sounds like he's a shitty driver. YOU MAKE SURE the other lane is clear then pass....you dont be a jack ass and try to pass someone on the other side when there's a car coming the other way. He should have laid on his brakes and got back behind him.

We know you don't want another nbody....you effin post about every other car on here except the alero. Go buy your subaru and join one of their forums so you can talk to them about how great they are. Meanwhile i (along with many other members) will stick with our aleros and be DIFFERENT. Not buy a POS dodge that alero has a turbo on it and will probably need a new tranny in 20k. Of course there are better and nicer cars out there than an Alero (way to state the obvious), BUT THIS IS AN ALERO SITE.....of course were going to try and talk him into getting another one....omg...people are ridiculous....we know he's not going to change his mind from what people have to say on here....he will make his own decisions. A lot of members on here (me being one of them) don't like seeing people getting other cars....thats one less alero on the site....and one less alero that could potentially come to ASS. Unlike you JLW, we love our Aleros and we wanna continue modding them and being different.

Well I have had 2 aleros when I get my Subaru I am still going to keep my alero and use it as a summer cruiser. I had an alero for my first car so I still have a little soft spot for the aler and I always will.

Billy, I know what you were saying, I didnt just jerk the car off the road, I'm not THAT much of an idiot. the road in the area this happened was thin to begin with and the drop of from the pavement to gravel on the side was a lot more then realized. yes, the lane was clear when I passed, again im not THAT stupid. the car that was coming came over a hill as I was passing the guy, at that point there was still plenty of room to get around his w/o accelerating any more (hence more defensive driving waiting until I could actually see far enough ahead to pass). and yes, I know its an ALERO site, I love my alero to. but theres no reason to go monkey stomp someone every time they say they want a different car.

Why is there only 6 cars reg'ed?

3 weeks after ASS, somebody, within an hour of Lansing, will post up "You dudes, big meet at my house, yo!!" when you could have just came out to ASS a few weeks earlier and had fun

I don't have enough time to plan for time off etc: It's the same weekend every year. You are told about it 364 days in advance, how much more time do you need?

I don't have enough money: Kinda goes hand and hand with the time thing, but you can share a room with others to drop the cost of a room, bring a buddy to drop the price of filling up, etc

It's too far away: Fallout boy (Juillan) came last year from Germany. He spent the day before at my house. Total miles travled 9100. Al Heinck and another guy (can't remember his name) drove from LA, 2650 miles, 44 hours, ONE WAY

I'm def comming next year: Bullshit, only one person said that and followed through with it

My car isn't show quailty: OK, so what. You don't have cleaners, sponges, buckets, water? Ion showed up one year with his front end all messed up, Marc's car looked like it was sponored by colgate with all the bondo holding his front end together.

I've been there before, but I don't have an Alero anymore: OK good one, but Marc came to ASS about 5 years or so, only brough his Alero to one

I won't know anybody: We are not much different in person than on the board. Grow a set.

I'll come if you move it to another weekend: OK then you can talk to OCA and have the date of Homecoming moved to another weekend. I'm sure you'll get a great response

JK :) lol...i gotta try and remember to register tomorrow. It always takes me a while to finally register but i'll get there....lol

i would have to get the funds together and whatnot which shouldn't be a horrible problem, i would also have to ask about the time off thing which should also be fine...i mainly just don't wanna make the 13 hour drive alone...maybe i should meet up with other kansas people and the trip could be planned as a group thing even if the ride was made together in one alero

I don't know if you've done long distances before, but it's not that bad. I've done the 14 hour trip three times. I tend to suffer from highway hypnosis though. So, I can't really speak healthily on the matter.

I'm still going to try and make it, weather it be in my moms car, my new one, or if we get my friends alero running well enough to make the trip.

that is the reason i don't want to drive it on my own...i kind of go into auto-pilot and next thing i know i have covered a large distance and don't remember any of it... might be considered slightly unsafe...if i am in a group then i do ok but if there is not many people around i have a problem.
