Product:
Mr clean magic eraser: Now there are different "types" but i found that they are all the same just marketed differently for different uses. So no matter what "type" you buy it will work the same. Woolite oxy clean: I only needed to use this with parts that where heavily soiled and even then i dont think i really needed it becuase the magic eraser is nothing short of magic. ![]() Door: ![]() seat: ![]() I also did my dash, all trim.........pretty much EVERYTHING. Just follow up with a good conditioner and then a protectent. Bamm, show room quality. This is also a great way to clean interior parts that you will be painting. Happy detailing!!! |
wow thats fantastic. I agree on the magic eraser, that thing is coooool. i always thought my leather looked clean, but I could be wrong... I'll give it a shot!
|
good lord! nice find!
|
also, did you use the magic eraser dry? or w/ the oxy clean stuff?

I am willing to bet your interior is not as clean as you think it is......trust me, i thought so too. I just used water like the directions said. I stopped using the woolite within a few minutes. I just had a bucket of plain water to rinse it off with. |
that thing cleans anything... i use them on my bathtub... it took me less than a minute with the eraser to do what it took me over 10 minutes to do with straight bleach and a rag...
|
One thing however!!!
DO NOT USE THIS ON PAINTED SURFACES!!!! |
Wow, that is super impressive...you swear you didn't like photoshop it ;) jk
|
Nope no PS.
All these years i thought my leather and my interior was clean, i was soooooo wrong. |
Heh heh, I KNOW my leather's dirty. I'm gonna get some & try it, thanks for the thread Coupe!

...or maybe you're just OCD ha ha! :P jk |
that IS impressive! i used it on our kitchen floor after we moved in. the floor that we THOUGHT was a light grey was really white. i almost threw up. my alero is pretty clean (i hope) but i should really try it on the leather in my '86 Fiero. Its gotta have 20 years of dirt on the leather. i dont know how they made the magic eraser, but it is what it says - MAGIC

Hi Folks,
I got to admit REALY IMPRESSIVE. But I have to ask. How aggressive is this Magic Eraser? Cause my '99 Leather seats are very very dirty and are getting hard, means the leather beginns to get scratches. It's not my fautl, i have the alero for a little more than a half year. So back to the seat. So u clean them with magic eraser, and anfter that u spray them with some leather protector, to give it back its humidity (right word??). Am i right? I wonder if this magic erases is avaible in Germany?? Got to keep eyes open next WE shopping Thanks for the info Greetings FB |

It wont damage your seats so dont worry. Yes the conditioner will put the oils back into the leather and then after you condition just use a sealer. Any automotive store carries leather conditioner and leather sealer and some carry the 'tire magic erasers' which is the exact same thing as all the other magic erasers, its just marketed differently. |
Ohh I am so doing this when I get my car back. I don't have leather seats, but my doors and dash could use some lovin. I found this great product for my cloth seats and now I can't think of the name, but it took all 5 years of dirt out of them and made them look like new. It came in a blue can... crap, but whatever it is I high recommend it. I'll have to find the name...
Good find though coupe. EDIT: Its called Blue Magic Spot and Stain Remover and it did just that. Its awsome. |
I am blown away...Stifled...Amazed..Astonished...I'm getting verclempt... but after you treated the leather and plastic with the oil and treater didn't it go back to that darker color ???

Nope it stayed the lighter color. |
Wow...
Not sure why I never thought of that. I do already use Oxy Clean spray on my cloth seats and it makes them spotloss. Before I got the cart someone had a pop explode or something. There were spots from the area behind the rear seats under the rear windshield all the way up AND into the little compartment on the roof above the rearview mirror. It did the works. I'll have to try the eraser tomorrow on my doors tomorrow, they have some scuffs in them, and I know wwe have one of them things in the house somewhere |
Hi found these magic erasers here in Germany too (great) will try it perhaps this WE,
Any suggestions where to use it NOT? |
any general area below the waste, above the neck, or on painted stuff
|
^^^Bwahahahaha
|
Damn all the $$$ I spent on other car cleaning stuff :pissed:
|
^^I feel your pain.
|
i tryed using those erasers with just water and....lol ya there crap, left a streaky residue all over the place, you MUST go over again with a conditioner or something, but i did find out they work wonders on rims though!

Hmm, thats weird... I didn't have any trouble with the magic eraser leaving a residue, it just took up dirt that I was unable to lift otherwise. Bob |
