Alero in Europe (Lithuania)

Hi, redDog asked me to put some pics of my Alero, so here they are. I just bought my Alero 3 weeks ago. It's 2003 Chevrolete Alero 2,4L. I bought it and just love it (before that i had a Peugeot 206 lol ). This Alero is a stock one. In these 3 weeks i allready tinted the windows all around (back 100%, front 50%). Puted the mufflers on and installed a Axtone subwoofer, and a Panasonic cd player (not in the pics yet). Now saving money for 18 inc rims but i havent decided wich ones (you'll see the pics). And i'm planing to ship a new body kit from USA but still havent found what i want and yet don't have the money for that because shipping will cost me about 800-1000$
So here's my baby....

Rims to choose:

Waiting for your comments.... :rolleyes2:

Is 100% tint the equivalent of 0%? (0% light transmitted that is, AKA opaque)

You should debadge it and buy some Olds badges from Ebay ;)

Marrko 10-29-2006 06:04 PM

Don't realy know if 100% is 0% light transmitted, all i know that you cant's see a sh... through them :D And about the badge, i though to take it of... but i'm planing to put a body kit and it'll be compleatle without a badge...

Glad to have you here with us. I like the 2nd rims better. Good luck!

acold7dusta 10-29-2006 08:08 PM

x2 on the second rims

your tint looks the same as me, 5% banner, 35% on front 2 windows, 20% on the back three

edit: i see you got a 5 speed model too:dry: ha jk

cherrington17 10-29-2006 08:26 PM

i agree w/ the second rims. and nice car. :thumb:

why can't our plates look as nice as euro ones... :glare:

Oldsnut 10-29-2006 08:32 PM

Good start. I also like rim #2.

alerocar01 10-29-2006 08:39 PM

looks good so far and i like the 5 speed. go with the second rims.

Satsuriku 10-29-2006 09:23 PM

i say go with the 2nd set of rims.

overall, nice looking car

Mischief007 10-29-2006 10:27 PM

Euro plates :thumb:.

I'd go for the second set as well.

MixtapeMessiah 10-30-2006 01:57 AM

LOL I see you got a Chevy Alero, thats pretty awesome, and the second set of rims are the best in my opinion

Cliff8928 10-30-2006 02:24 AM

That seems strange that it's a 2003 with a 2.4 litre engine. Do they specify the year by when it was first registered? The 2.4 was last used in 2001 here. Also, I've seen a 2002 Chevy Alero which had different (saab-style) side markers and an Ecotec 2.2.

I like the way the exhaust looks that you had installed. Also definitely the second style of wheel you posted looks better.

i love the Pre-cleared euro headlights. don't debadge it, its unique? and 2nd rims.

clutch1 10-30-2006 10:46 AM

In Europe it's not unique, but still true.

Trickyslick 10-30-2006 11:03 AM

Nice and have fun...

AGT 10-30-2006 11:19 AM

2nd rims.

alero168 10-30-2006 11:48 AM

I agree. I like chrome on black but the second ones don't look as good. Get some chrome.

Coldfire 10-30-2006 02:14 PM

I still say go with #2

When are you gonna get a kit and which one?

ATLAS 10-30-2006 03:22 PM

Do you need those side marker lights for legal reasons? Otherwise I'd look into removing them or getting some new fenders from the states to clean up the look

Redog 10-31-2006 12:26 PM

Looks good and yes the 2nd set of rims would look good

alero440 10-31-2006 12:47 PM

Is that an Olds logo on the steering wheel?

would you keep beating me to the punch!!...dam..lol

Oldsnut 10-31-2006 03:56 PM

Yes that was an Olds logo on the steering wheel and the side markers are a legal thing in Europe.

Basically the only thing that GM did was put the Chevy bow tie logo on the front, the name Chevrolet on the bottom right trunk lid and he has the European headlights which are very cool. Otherwise it's an Alero or as I call it Chalero

Cliff8928 11-01-2006 02:42 AM

and another couple details is that it has *3* license plate lights instead of the standard 1. The inside taillights are also used for rear fog lights (I don't think they come on otherwise). The headlights also have power level adjustment.

Marrko 12-19-2006 06:47 PM

ok starting to mood my car :) first step: grills :) bought the grills today, foud a thead here how to do it, so tomorow going to my garage to do it.. hope it's warmer then today 2 celcius (f... cold)... also geting ready to put leds in the foglights and headlighs.... going to post pics later on how work is going....

Blue87 01-22-2007 09:52 PM

its so confusing with the bowtie up front and "chevrolet" badge on the trunk, and with the olds symbol on the wheels and steering wheel lol

Freezman2 01-23-2007 12:19 AM

Like the car, and the fact that its a Chevy Alero...Looks Good!
