Whats Wrong?!?

Ok, please only be serious if you post here, cause im really pissed off right now and im not in the mood.

When i drive it the back end doesnt even go with the car, its hard to explain. but it doesnt matter how it drives, the pics clearly show how each rim sticks out. they should be strait.
I put my rims back on today, and this is what i see.......
Do i need an alignment??? wtf is wrong?

jackal2000 05-16-2007 08:55 PM

looks like you have some reverse pigeon toe action going on. i would have it aligned for sure.

Mischief007 05-16-2007 09:18 PM

Yeah, that's some visible toe in. Allignment and quick before you wear your tires.

yea i know, tomorrow after school im bringing the car to get an alignment, i dont even wanna drive it to school or to the place to get it aligned, cause im nervous something is gonna happen. im gonna drive like such an old man tomorrow.

jayson_waltz 05-16-2007 09:33 PM

u must have a new enough front wheel drive that u can get 4 wheel alingments. i'd get that done ASAP b4 your tires get screwed up.

billytheman1188 05-16-2007 09:36 PM

so its just an alignment i need right? nothing else......i really hope its just an alignment, im getting nervous.... i love my car too much.........i hate to see it like this!!!!

Gr1m 05-16-2007 09:39 PM

nothing is going to happen to the car (given that your tightened the lugs good) your only going to lose tread on your tires quicker then normal

i know i love my car too i hate it when something wrong with it. but for me i just run it down to the shop at night and fix it right away. u have to pay to get it done, if it was that way for me there would be a lot of things i would'nt have (atv, snowmobiles) b\c the reapairs would kill me. $30 and hour for snowmobile would suck when u blow the engine.

yeap, i always tighten them the correct way. criss cross, then torque them 50lbs, then 100lbs. then after driving about 20 miles, torque them one more time.

yea, must be nice to have a shop. but its not like an alignment is that much...right? how much are they?

Redog 05-16-2007 10:00 PM

Yeah you just need a 4 wheel alingment ;)

Don't worry about how much it costs, it's only dirty paper.
Anywhere from 65 to 90 dollars depending on your location.

jackal2000 05-16-2007 10:37 PM

i cant imagine anything being seriously wrong. its not like you have tie rods back there or anything. speaking of tie rods, i remember when i was driving down the highway in my 87 caddy and the rear tie rod on the front passenger wheel broke. luckily i only lived a block away from the highway and somehow got my car parked on the front lawn. its no fun going 40mph and trying to turn when that happens lol

yes, that could be true. my step dad has 175,000 miles on his car and he has only gotten his wheels aligned once. if i need an alignment in 54,000 miles, then that means im hitting too many potholes, etc. im gonna try not to talk about this too much right now:rolleyes2:

doubleN0alero 05-17-2007 12:11 AM

it is an alignment, but i couldnt help but taking a rip on you lol

antichrysler 05-17-2007 12:19 AM

lol you should trade it in...

actually wait till it runs out of gas first

Gr1m 05-17-2007 12:22 AM

u dont need to get an alignment from hitting potholes, its when u change your wheels or anything suspension related when your camber and other things get thrown off and you need to have the car balanced and aligned again

Well if you hit the right pothole or just a curb you will need an alignment

Gr1m 05-17-2007 11:32 AM

if you hit the "right pothole" or curb your looking at more expenses then just a balancement and alignment

AGT 05-17-2007 11:48 AM

Yes, but we are on the subject of alignments

TwistedDreams 05-17-2007 12:36 PM

me and grim drove with the worst alignment ever, after we bagged ours cars. I dont know how long he drove his before he got his alignment but I drove a week and a half before i got mine, so you will be fine for the time being

Gr1m 05-17-2007 12:42 PM

i drove around for like 2-3 days and the outside of my tires were getting worn out real bad

billytheman1188 05-17-2007 03:28 PM

yea well i dont mess around when theres something wrong with my car, i get it fixed ASAP. I hate driving around when there is something wrong with my car, i feel like im ruining my baby!!! and ruby cant die on me :-( lol, anyways, i just had my buddy drive me to get my car over to midas. yea it was pretty scary driving with him, HE DRIVES CRAZY AS HELL!!! compared to his driving, i drive like a 85 yr old man.

damn thats quick my alignment was extremely terrible, my arms would be soar from holding the steering wheel straight so hard after I would go somewhere and that was for a week and a half with no noticable wear...

Ruby? lol why not blue? jk

But Midas, really? i dunno how it is around there, but here they are the absolute worst. Complete idiots, every single one of them. Gold touch? more like "hey i f***ed up ur car worse than it was before" touch.
But basically its like that with any car service center chain. Find a good locally owned shop. Not only will u get better service and work done, you will be supporting your community.

yea i know, i do have a mechanic i always go to. but his shop is 20 miles away and i dont feel like driving 30 on the highway. plus he doesnt do alignments, and midas was the only place around here that could do alignments with my big 18s on.

OH AND BY THE WAY, I WAS A RETARD (WHAT ELSE IS NEW) AND I JACKED THE CAR UP AND BENT THIS METAL BAR UNDER THE CAR, FORGOT WHAT ITS CALLED, BUT ITS GONNA COST $490 for the bars and an alignment. PLEASE dont make fun of me too much:lol::lol::lol: i might go shoot myself in my backyard cause i did such a stupid thing:(:( Now i wont have my car for 2 days......I HATE MY LIFE!!!!!;)

pawzbear 05-17-2007 04:46 PM

20 miles? jeez theres all kinds of mech shops within 5 minutes of my house... and i live in a po dunk town lol

rowdygls 05-17-2007 04:51 PM

Might it be the sway bar ?? If you jacked the back that's about the only thing I can think of that it would be there. As long you learned your lesson on where to jack your car up at.

control arms?

billy, go read your owners manual. it clearly states where the jack points are. ;)

billytheman1188 05-17-2007 05:37 PM

lol, listen guys, i have jacked my car up more times than i can remember, BUT THIS ONE TIME I PUT IT ON THE DAMN POLE and it bends. but i learned my lesson, im just glad im getting the shit fixed.

I probably paying a lot more for those bars to get fixed than i would at my mechanic, but i need an alignment after they put those in, and my mechanic doesnt do them. F-U-C-K!!! lol. i think im happy cause now i know its not the wheels, i was getting a LITTLE scared that it would have to do with them, cause the 2 wheels on the back of my car are the 2 that have been through a lot. one of the rims is permanently bent a little bit, but its ok to have it on the back.....and the other one is the rim i just got fixed.

OH AND THE RIM I JUST GOT FIXED LOOKS PERFECT, NO BLUE MARK AND IT LOOKS MINT!!!! :-) i love my car with the rims on it, just pulling into school today all these people were telling me how much they love my rims. lol, im a celebrity ;-)

jackal2000 05-17-2007 06:10 PM

high school girl: "i like those rims but why the hell are the rear ones sticking out all retarded? and when did they start giving kids who ride the short bus driver's licenses???"

billytheman1188 05-17-2007 06:12 PM

lol, its really not that noticeable until you get close to it. It was a pretty scary drive in the morning, i tried to do the speed limit (45), i got to 40 and my car was going to the left then to the right, kept doing it. so i drove at 30 and it was good
