GI Speedbuilt Swaybar GB #2
 

There is talk over on GAGT.com about attempting a second group buy for speedbuilt swaybars from pfyc.com. The bars are no longer in production and it was thought the last run on a group buy would be the last sets made. Now there are people over there who missed out last time that want sets. We are going to contact pfyc about it but it would be better to know that there are interested parties. Start the list...

Do we have an idea on price for each or both???

On the last GB they went for around $150/bar. PFYC did it with a $75 deposit up front and the remainder paid when it was ready to ship.

who is taking responsibility for the group buy?

I don't know yet, this thread is just to gain interest so there can be motivated parties. If we get enough people i may email pfyc myself but i will hold off until we see close to the requisite ten people for each type of bar. But i just got a pm so we are down to two again.

The Aleromod guy made up 1/2 if not more of the last swaybar buy over on GAGT. Good luck on this one guys.

Thanks Oldsnut, I emailed PFYC today. Recieved one back from a lower level guy saying he forwarded it to his boss so we will see how it goes.

It looks like we need to merge this list with the list running over on the GAGT board and get this effort unified. I want these bars!

Bump, anyone else interested? I am still trying to get ahold of someone important at pfyc. I emailed them and had a reply from a peon who said he passed it along to his boss. I have still not heard from them but if we get more people and can show them that there is good interest i think they may be more likely to act on it. So come on guys, between us and gagt.com we have 16 people, we need a few more.

Finally recieved a reply from pfyc. It reads:

Matt, we'll need 20 people minimum per bar. We can only place an order
with the manufacturer if we have at least 20 pre-paid orders.

If my memory serves me right, I thought they only wanted 10 bars for the front and 10 for the rear. Now they want 20.

its getting close.. we need some more ppl.. share this group buy on other forums too!

I just checked, it was 15 each last time, that kind of sucks, any suggestions on how to bring that up with pfyc? We have 14 fronts and 11 rears. If anyone is on other forums please post a link to this even if you are not buying some.

I would strongly prefer to do it that way because last time, a lot of
people took a LONG time to pay the remainder once the bars came in and
the logistics were a nightmare.

We have 16 fronts and 13 rears now! Whoo! I hope we can find a few more. If anyone is getting cold feet please let me know before i talk to pfyc to get payment info cause that will set us back aways if someone fails to pay on time.

Here, this is the best i could find on GAGT. The pic with two bars is stock at the top and speedbuilt at the bottom. I already have the rear and it is worth it, coupled with my struts and springs this car really handles nice.

I'll have some pics of mine soon.. The front bar weighs like 4 times what my stock FE2 one did. I feel sorry for those with a V6 putting it in, it was even a pain with the Ecotec and 5-speed.

I'd just like to add, for anyone questioning the buy, I highly recommend both bars. There's a major difference in handling that's well worth the money. Best money I've spent on my car so far.
