Sorry, I cant get you Free stuff. Anyway, All I can say about being sponsored is there is a lot of work to get to the point of being sponsered. And when you get there, there are many levels of sponsership. And what I mean by this is you might get discounts on gear. that is a form of sponsership. You might be givin a free tee shirt, that is a form of sponsership. There are so many levels of it. I could list about 100 different ways to be sponsered. Its not always free. But anything is a start.

looks like 4 awg to me

Misuseofyou 02-19-2009 12:24 AM

Yep looks like 4 gauge. post more speaker pics.

Silentalero 02-19-2009 01:11 AM

btw maybe just me being nosey but you did fuse those power cables at the battery right?

Ryan from Ohio 02-19-2009 07:47 AM

lol

Most SPL guys dont fuse at the front.

Fuses create a volt drop and rob them of precious .1 dB.

Seriously.

xsavyor1 02-19-2009 08:07 AM

They are fused at the front and the back. Most spl guys dont fuse because they gain a tenth or two. I fuse because I wont let my shi# burn up if it grounds out. The wire is 0/1 awg. 2 pos. and 2 neg. Most of the power will be pulled from the 6 batterys in the back.

Dumb to me but then again im not a spl guy. Besides its against most guidlines to put a fuse more than 12" from the battery. But to each their own.

Bingo ;)
.1 can mean the diference between first and second.

Ryan from Ohio 02-19-2009 02:36 PM

Its a sad world they line in.

Thats why Im not a big on the SPL comps. 98% of the installs look to be done by Chimps... And the wiring... I dont even want to talk about that. I about puked at finals in Cleveland a few years back...

Its all about the look mixure

I just got a guy who came in today, running 4 18" fi. Yes you heard me 4! Wants a custom made 20,000 watt amp. Def not gonna be a cheap price tag thats for sure.

AGT 02-19-2009 03:01 PM

That 0/1 awg wire looks smaller than I thought. It looks about the size of my thumb in thickness. I am just comparing it to what looks like Stinger Bullet series RCAs laying next to them. I run 0/1 in my car right now and its big and not flexible at all.

lonnie 02-19-2009 03:27 PM

The shop around here use to sell those exclusively around here, and I've seen plenty of them smoke from being under powered. Many of those crossfire amps in that series are underrated, and therefore are generally underpowered...which doesn't seem to be an issue here. Needless to say that shop is closed now...LOL! Can't wait to see more pics!!

.....I do like though how crossfire gives you the same amp as the previous series and just threw a new case on it.

That what this one looks liek it has seen already. Right under the XP6004 lettering, but most likely reflection
