which is easiest which should i use and would the wire to that light from teh cubby hole work, i know its wired into teh lights and theyre off during the day but could power still be received all day long from it, (asking because its right there and easy to get too) |

i do not! i do leds... not audio. :glare: the red wire should go to a constant power supply. They suggest putting a fuse inline, so you don't get a power surge and damage your radio. i have mine connected to a fuse tap, that is connected to the "radio" fuse on the driver's side fusebox. |
what red wire and how is a fuse tap done
|
1) take out the fuse your tapping, and insert the fuse tap, into the fuse's location.
2) put that fuse into the closest spot, on the fuse tap 3) put a new fuse into the farthest spot on the fuse tap (this will fuse the line going OUT from the tap) 4) connect the wire on the fuse tap, to the red wire on your wire harness. 5) have a beer. |
no clue what that means to do
so im gonna shoot in the dark do i just push the fuse into teh slot with a wire in teh way so it gets caught with it and attach that to the red wire???? |
i honestly.... can't make that any easier to understand. go to a car store, buy a fuse tap, and look at what you want to do. it should be obvious
|
oh sry i didnt realize a fuse tap was a thing, i though it was a action
|
no.. its definitely a valuable item to have...
|
ok just googled fuse taps they look like a fuse broke in half to so you can attach wires to teh back, is that them,

your better off getting one like this
http://www.repairconnector.com/index...id/0/id/345999 so you can have the fuse right there, in an easily accessible location. just DO NOT BUY THIS EXACT ONE. The one linked is a BLADE FUSE TAP. you need a MINI BLADE FUSE TAP. But that is the style your going to look for. |
that product is effing beautiful, do they have that at any local stores like autozone (sry to mention them so much closest place and its 30 min away
) |
i got mine at autozone.... so i'd expect any of them to carry it.
|
werent 7 dollars was it
|
dude thanks for all they help btw
|
ign wire behind the radio is yellow and is on the right side, the yellow wire on the left is one of the speaker wires ;)
|
is it apart of the wire mass that attactes to teh factory head
|
Yes it's in the hardness. There are 2 yellow wires in the hardness, one is ign.
That is how I get ign power for my gauges ;) |
dont use the radio fuse, its constant, but he sunroof one next to it is perfect, and my car doesnt even have a sunroof
