Whaa?

WTF!?! what the hell is this thing!?

:scpimp:

Just a teaser of something to come...

Only one member knows that this is (he helped design it) and i would ask that he keep quiet about its purpose and function. ;)

And to that member: Thanks for all the help. I did find 2 small mistakes, and they are going to be corrected. (i explained something wrong and all i needed was so solder two diodes into place, in 2 of the lines) It really didn't take that long to do, either.

This will be installed in the coming weeks, and will be in place at ASS.

cavaliers60 05-05-2009 05:20 PM

I'm guessing it's a switch of some sort for something. lol but I'm not 100% sure. Good teaser. I'm lost...

Nate's Alero 05-05-2009 06:38 PM

it has SOMETHING do do with leds.... isint it already a spotlight??

meadus101 05-05-2009 06:50 PM

Those wires go to the stereo and then to his LED's, so that his LED's will go all cool with the music.

That's my bet.

[ion] C2 05-05-2009 07:05 PM

eff I know what it is. I've seen it before. But I don't know.

Also, WTF?

jayson_waltz 05-05-2009 07:19 PM

well it like there is 6 variable resistance adjusting knobs there, so it obviously to adjust the brichness of change the color of some of your leds. just don't know which ones (or which new ones)

Also yea ^^ WTF?

lonnie 05-05-2009 08:17 PM

Wow that looks great..I'm a very big fan of neat work, and everything is nice and labeled. I'm excited now!

worknprog.99 06-22-2009 08:28 PM

well..... wth is it lol

[ion] C2 06-22-2009 08:32 PM

your rotary switch setup?

Ryan from Ohio 06-22-2009 08:33 PM

Well I spy 6 DSPT Blue Radio Shack Relay's inside a small Radio Shack project box.

I got a single relay, same box and a barrier strip on my stack of chit to do.

Mines a remote save for my radio. When turning on more than 2-3 items you need a relay. 40 amp relay is to much of a draw on the triggers. However those little blue relays are excellent.

cherrington17 06-22-2009 08:34 PM

its a 6 relay switch box.

it goes to a 6 position, 2 pole rotary switch infront of my shifter, that controls the LEDs in my car.

1st - red gauges
2nd - blue gauges
3rd - red gauges, red vents
4th -blue gauges, blue vents
5th - red gauges, red vents, red floor lighting
6th - blue gauges, blue vents, blue floors

further expansion will be done... when i have time/ambition

worknprog.99 06-22-2009 08:37 PM

wow... can you make a video of you using it?? how long did the wiring take?

cherrington17 06-22-2009 08:38 PM

wiring... countless hours. I did most of it, in my downtime at work. (same as my 65 led brake light)

I'll try to get a vid(s) up tonight. I've told lonnie that like... 5 times... :glare: i hope i remember, and don't fall asleep

----

heres the wiring diagram (from lonnie)

it does require some tweaks. The red/blue final stage, needs a branch from the power output from the relay, to the gauges (instead of just floors) and a diode on each line, so the floor lights don't turn on with the first two stages. There was something else too... but i don't remember. (the relays he drew, aren't the ones i used. so some translation is required, but thats pretty basic)

-----

btw... thats JUST the wires going INTO the switchbox. None that are coming out. it was a beast of a project. and that box.. is only like... 6" long by 3" wide.

PappaSmurf 06-22-2009 09:18 PM

I thought it was pretty neat, but I wasnt going to play with ANYTHING cherry had. I am the one with the 2 foot rooster remember. LMAO

cherrington17 06-22-2009 09:30 PM

cherrington17 06-22-2009 09:31 PM

3 Attachment(s)

-Smurf-

99alerogirl 06-22-2009 10:22 PM

i loved to play with that switch!

PappaSmurf 06-22-2009 11:10 PM

Yeah, you loved to play with anything with us even though Jon (her boyfriend) was there. He was nice enough to help me carry my crap to the room, while she was playing with Cherry's switches. LMAO
-Smurf-

cherrington17 06-22-2009 11:16 PM

crappy video...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFPk6LDlb4I

my cam has a hard time w/ those reds. and yes, i know two blues are out. i don't know why. one is finicky.. the other is just following suit. the 2nd JUST happened.

and no smurf... hitting them doesn't help.

lonnie 06-23-2009 02:58 PM

That video needs some work but I got the idea....Looked good!

Wait a minute...Adria has a boyfriend?

cherrington17 06-23-2009 09:00 PM

lonnie 06-24-2009 10:19 AM

Adria you've been cheating on Aleromod this whole time? Damn!

I was already upset that Jon and Kate broke up...

not really...don't like her anyway..she was causing Jon to wear the panties...LOL

Glad he's a good guy! Is he in any of the pics?
