As you guys can see, i have 20's on my alero and plan to downsize later but i was looking to drop my car about 2 inches and was wondering what are the best lowering springs and where do i get them from?
-thanks

Sprint is supposed to give 1.75, and you can actually still find them..

Anyone know anything about this? I can imagine the weight differences in the cars wouldbe really different so rebound would be off etc.

However they do make full coilovers for cavis so someone get in here who knows

xXManwhoreXx 06-13-2011 11:16 PM

Bump for answer on cavi suspention.

robalero 06-14-2011 05:12 AM

ill get the part #'s for the mounts if the mounts are the same the springs are the same. ill also get the strut part #'s too

robalero 06-14-2011 05:19 AM

well you know what, as much as the springs look identical, have the same mounts and everything esle the actual struts are two different part #'s

and the part #'s for the springs in the front from napa is not the same either so its either get them and try it OR ill eat my words and say im wrong

xXManwhoreXx 06-14-2011 11:21 PM

Buy them for me and I will try it

Philbar71 06-15-2011 01:00 AM

How could they be the same? J-bodys weigh like 400 pounds less than N-bodys... so the spring rates must be different, right?!

robalero 06-15-2011 05:27 AM

springs are springs, thats why coil over's are mostly universal for any car ( not all ) like the cheap $40 ebay ones. they j-body's springs look identical to what I have on my alero from the factory ones to the aftermarket ones I do know as a fact the front struts are the same but the rears are much longer then our cars

Umm no... You are so incredibly incorrect I just lost faith in the world. Im going to just let you reflect on what you just said

robalero 06-16-2011 05:12 AM

if you bought coil over's off ebay for $40 that say they are universal ( which I don't recommend anyways coil-overs are crap ) they are designed to fit on almost anything. a lot of springs are almost all identical from one brand of vehicle, so lets say you get all gm's if they have a similar suspension setup its almost garunteed the springs are the same

xXManwhoreXx 06-16-2011 07:17 AM

Uhh no grand prix springs are different they might look the same but they have different tensile strengths
