I did my mine about 2 months ago with a so-called 'automotive trim' latex rattle even though it went against my instincts... and well, I was right! Even with lots of sanding and recoating, one looks halfway (ONLY halfway) decent and the other looks like crap. I should have at least used an oil-based rattle like Rust-O...

Anyway, I don't think I'll slap a sticker on it, I'll just go down to bare metal (instead of black without the remaining clear coat) and prime, paint, and clear - like I should have in the first place! I was too lazy with it first round! What I have now still is better than the base minus clearcoat, even if it doesn't please me... but it's still not up to par. :blink:
