Well after 4 months of the nightshade sitting under my bed I finally freed up time to tint them :yahoo:
check it out http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2113975 |
good job on the tails, and I like the look of your interior with the blue paint.
nice alero man... I have a midnight blue Alero also... Thanks for the awesome ideas... one question... What kind of paint did you use for the interior?
:thumb: |
They look nice. I like everything except the plaid jammy-pants. :P
krylon fusion
would that work also on the panel with the airbag on it. as well as the door panels? I"m hoping to maybe get the entire interior redone with a different color...
use SEM dye for the rubber and vinyl stuff, and pretty much any spray paint you want for the plastic parts. Krylon Fusion only comes in so many colors, but duplicolor makes color-matched stuff. Just some stuff to think about.
looks good nice job
I think I'll stick with just painting the plastic pieces for now. but thanks for the tip... Where can I find that stuff? I already found the spray paint..
Buy sem dye online. Ive never used it before but I hear good things.
looks good...nice work man
what kind of pait did you do the tail with? i'v been thinking about doing my tails but i dont even know where to begin. i painted the inside of my headlight about 6 months ago but that is about it for the paint.
Tails are nice ................... how did u do them?
spray tint = VHT Nite Shades
look for it on froogle.com for the best price. :thumb: |
looks nice, if you wanna smooth it out, try using some 2000+ grit sandpaper and some water, it will give a smooth shiney look like factory.
^ oh definitely. VHT orange peels like a mofo.
2000 grit? Never heard of it. I need to smooth out a little mistake but what I did is put on vht nightshade till I thought it was dark enough in nice light layers same direction, then I put on reflective coating then clear coat.

how can you never heard of 2000 grit? maybe go with a 3000 grit? sandpaper goes by a grit number, examples - 20 grit, 60, 120, 400 etc etc, the higher the number the finer it is. |
you can't get 2000 grit at Wal-Mart. you'd have to go to Home Depot or an automotive store to get it.
but for the tails, anything higher than 1500-grit is fine enough. And you don't need a reflective coating. just don't get too thick with the tint. (2-4 coats should be fine with the wet-sanding in between coats. There's no need for a clearcoat either) |
Oh I sell sandpaper but ive never had it go over 1000 there.
