Got bored this weekend and decided to try and relocate my sub (10 pioneer) into the Pass rear door. There's still alot of work to be done but here is the basic idea. Oh yeah and i'll be putting the Amp in the rear drivers door.
|
Hey now that is kinda neat lookin. Is that fiberglass? How close do you think the enclosure will be to spec? Is there gonna be one on the other side?
|
I figure the air space is going to about .9 cub/ft and this sub is recomended to have about 1 cub/ft. And yes it is Fiberglass.
unfortunatly I only have 1 sub (cash isn't a freind of mine) so i am going to do something to the other door to put the amp in the same place. and yes the whole door will be coated w/fiberglass. I figured I haven't seen it in our cars yet so what the hell!!! |
Did you drill holes to get the fiberglass to "stick"?
Are there any work pictures? |
Nothing is permenant yet! That is just an outlining shell. It is fiberglass but i still needs a couple of layers of "glass" for reinforcing reasons and I will be doing the Whole door in "glass" for structural and esthetic purposes.
But I will get more progress pics up as they come. as far as any so far. haha. I forgot to take some before I got to this point. |
I like that. :D
|
well you definately get an A+ for creativity
|
it'll be cool to see the end result
|
Yeah Well due to "Canadian" weather it may take a little longer than expected to complete. But hopfully it'll be done in a week or 2. But i'll make sure to keep ya posted on the progress.

thats going to be badass... i gotta find that one tutorial on the "how to do it yourself" fiberglassing, that was so deadly imma do it
