One of my driving lights is dimmer than the other, so I want to replace them. I was looking on ebay for a better than stock bulb and found ones that are 894's, 37.5watts, and 4200K.
I haven't changed my headlight bulbs, so I assume they are standard halogens. I don't know if this will look dumb. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STREET-GLOW...sspagenameZWD1V Think its worth the cash or are they a sh!t bulb? |
if you trust the wattage rating, go for it. but, i don't think that the numbers for power are correct. the "super white" bulbs that i always see draw too much power for our harnesses and burn them up. it's a gamble with products made overseas, they don't have the same standards as american products.

What are 894's? Fogs? I know they aren't anything in the actual headlight assembly.
Don't buy these. Buy Silverstars ($20) or HIDs ($230). I wouldn't trust anything else. |
That is a good point, they are made overseas by Street Glow, but the company is headquartered in the US....
I'd much rather be safe than sorry though. |
894's are fog lights, If you want headlights dont get the higher wattage bulbs as they will eventually fry your harness. If you want the higher watt bulbs upgrade your harnesses. I would recomed the Silverstars as well. I have them for Low/High and Fog lights.

894 is the right bulb & that wattage is correct 37.5 for stock you can go as high as 55 watts with the stock harness I believe with out any problems

all the numbers fit fine, but it's all a matter of trust after that. Good luck. :)
