Okay. I didn't touch any electronics at all today. All I did was vacuum my carpets with a cordless vac. All my doors and my trunk are all closed, yet the interior lights are still on.

Any ideas?

derek_ski99 03-08-2006 06:18 PM

did you bump the dial for the interior lights?

AlbinoMonkeyRat 03-08-2006 06:22 PM

I have the dome lights all set to off. its the lights by the feet and on the mirror that stay on.

BTW: the horn still honks when I lock the doors from outside the car...so I think there is something going on with the trunk sensor...wherever that exactly is.

Wayfastwhittie 03-08-2006 06:33 PM

the lights by my feet stay on too i dont know whats up with that

did u try turing to dome light from door to off, mine does the same thing too

AlbinoMonkeyRat 03-08-2006 06:35 PM

dome light IS off. mirror and feet lights are on.

nateb06 03-08-2006 06:35 PM

dude u guys are lucky, i don't even have lights by my feet on my GLS for some reason

AlbinoMonkeyRat 03-08-2006 06:37 PM

okay, it's getting late...and DARK. How do I unhook the lights on the mirror so I don't drain my battery overnight? (not cutting them...they are handy when they co-operate. :P )

nevermind...I unplugged the whole mirror...

Pull the bulbs out

AlbinoMonkeyRat 03-08-2006 07:06 PM

well, I pulled the foot lights' bulbs. that was no problem as they are exposed. but if the bulbs in the mirror ever burnt out, I'd me SOL. And I edited my previous reply: I already unplugged the mirror.

Satsuriku 03-09-2006 01:57 PM

couldnt you just take off the lens on the mirror and take out the bulbs?

looks like you could just pry it off

Try a qucik reset. Turn key to ON turn off and then disconnect negative terminal from battery for atleast 12 sec. Reconnect and let us know

you probably could, but it is much easier to unplug the mirror. At least it is at night. ;)

Satsuriku 03-09-2006 03:40 PM

ya i suppose it would be easier..........night time sux!

auchevyalero2004 03-10-2006 09:59 AM

the sensor for my drivers door went bad. It's actually built into the latch. I just unhooked it, kinda sucks.

AlbinoMonkeyRat 03-11-2006 02:33 PM

this is another case of "my car fixed itself". I really don't know what was wrong, or how it was resolved, but it works the way it was supposed to now. (and I didn't do that battery unhooking trick...)
