hey, i want to make sure if this one will fit on 2.4L twim cam for alero.

ebay air intake

or tell me which is better for my car. i would like cai than wai.

thanks.

they are relativley the same, i have an aem short ram intake for mine, and it works well.... how long is that?

2fst4u 03-22-2006 10:37 PM

yup, that'll fit. they should have hid their welds a little better. but, the color is nice.

AlbinoMonkeyRat 03-24-2006 10:25 AM

that's not bad at all (price) look into getting a real K&N filter though.

and yes, it will fit. That is a WAI, but if you leave the plastic tubing from the headlight to the inner portion of the engine bay, it will suck in some cold air too. Difference in gains between a CAI and a WAI on the 2.4 are negligible either way.

If you don't need the holes in it for AIT sensors etc, I'd suggest the breather filters, to keep bad stuff out

huh?

Yes it will work I installed one on my ex-co-workers alero.

plug up the hole where the crank breather connects to the intake. then put a small breather filter on this tube. it will keep all of the crap from the breather tube from crapping in your intake.

no wonder i was confused...i dont have that no more with the 2.3HO manifold...my bad

Stanl3yX 03-24-2006 10:02 PM

ok im confused...whats the difference between that cheap intake on ebay and the $150 AEM WAI

???

the sticker that comes with it. and the quality of the filter.

AlbinoMonkeyRat 03-27-2006 11:00 AM

funny...my intake doesn't have that thing sticking out (the breather). I have 2 holes, one for the sensor, and another one right up next to the throttle body....both holes are plugged up.

2fst4u 03-27-2006 11:15 AM

yeah, you use the stock elbow on your crank breather to connect to the hole by the throttle body. the other hole you stick your iat sensor in. it doesnt' have to extend out like this one does.
