trying to find an area on the 99 alero here to run a wire through, anyone have any suggestions, on the grand ams there were grommets you could punch through but i can't find something similar or maybe I'm just blind here?

If you pull back the carpet on the driver side, there is a rubber boot that goes through leading to the engine. When I ran my 4 gauge wire to the battery I used a metal hanger to poke through the rubber, and taped my 4 gauge to it on the inside of the car, then pulled it through! Hope this helps!

You can also run it along side your hood and down where the door hinge is, then tuck it under the rubber seal and thru the fuse box. This only works for thinner wires, probably no good for anything fatter than 12AWG. You'll see the wire when your door is open, but you dress it and secure it to blend in easily. Steelgrey's method is ideal tho, I found it harder to get at but cleaner in the long run.

I have 1/0 gauge going to my trunk, that was a BITCH to pass thru the firewall, let alone make it go under the carpet without a huge ridge standing up.
