Aleromaster 03-02-2004 10:04 PM

Yeah go with sweet thats what i'm replacing mine with

aleropimp1 03-02-2004 11:05 PM

whats a good amp to go with it or whats an amp that will get the job done. i am only getting one sub so i need a mono amp

dopey 03-02-2004 11:10 PM

power acoustic is a good amp for a good price

sound_xtreme 03-02-2004 11:20 PM

yea, alum10 nice solid sub. plays only in a sealed box and sounds ultra clear. power acoustik is indeed a good amp for the money(the mono series only). but you cant go wrong buying a mono audiobahn amp to match the sub either.

aleropimp1 03-03-2004 05:49 PM

ok i found the sub and amp i am going to get. the Audiobahn A4002T amp and the audiobahn alum10Q 10". then i was thinking of making a sealed box made of oat for the sub so it will be nice strong good idea, if not shoot me down and give me a better one

aleropimp1 03-03-2004 05:57 PM

on the box subject i was going to make it square shape so like 14*14 or maybe 13*13 and about 16-20in deep with no ports or would a port be better i an not sure with myself on the box give me some input

sound_xtreme 03-03-2004 06:56 PM

you cant have a port box with ALUM subs. I think I said that in my last post.

aleropimp1 03-03-2004 08:42 PM

yes yes you did. but i got another ? i am hooking my subs up to the deck that came with the car, but there is not way to turn the subs off due to the stadard deck so i wanted to insatal a switch and just have the speaker cables going to the sub go to a switch then to the subs so i can turn the subs off. will this work?

sound_xtreme 03-03-2004 09:15 PM

no, just put the remote wire going to the amp on a switch. THAT will work. i think that amp also comes with a remote bass control knob thing.

sparky009 03-03-2004 09:36 PM

check the specs that came with the subs for your box I have the 12 inch alumQ and i know that the boxes for these type of subs dont need a box that is 2 big....

Also I have them in a ported box and they sound like krap so when you build your box keep it sealed.....

xsavyor1 03-20-2004 12:30 PM

Just dont overpower them to much or they will burn up fast. I had on for about a day. (way to much power on it though.) 2 Bd1500
