Don't hear much about them. Innovative invention or waste of money?

On a normal factory engine they are a waste. However, if you beef up your engine, increase the compression ratioe etc. etc. water water injection does is cool the combustion chamber, helping to prevent detonation. Also, since you are introducing a bit of water, and it is turned into steam by the heat of combustion, it actually increases the compresion slightly due to the expansion of the steam. BUT... as I said, on a normal engine with no modifications, it is a waste of money.

So what kind of power would you have to be making to consider this kit viable?

Probably more than an Alero will ever get

and this is just because hardly anybody likes to put a ton of money into an Alero's engine.

if you are spending over $5k on your engine, it might be worth it to add that in. Other than that, no need to really consider it at all.

Gotcha. W/A Injection and Aleros just won't splice.

any boosted application could benefit greatly from a good well-tuned w/a injection setup.....greg here in colorado runs water/meth injection? works fairly well
