Stock Head Unit Modification
 

Hello Everyone,

First, I'm not interested in replacing the head unit any time soon. So throw that idea out. :)

Second, I'm going ot have some fun with LEDs in the head unit. I'm going to switch the lights on the circuit board to LEDs.

What's with the Passlock thing on the car? If I pull my radio out, does that trip it? What happens if I do trip this? Can I untrip it myself?

no to passlock. if your radio has theftlock, you will need the code to unlock it(or find the universal reset method), if you unplug it

That's only on the '99-'00 models i believe. The '01-'04 uses a theftlock which pairs with the BCM, so it'll be fine if you remove it.
