sub advice/help
im looking to get some new subs and i wanna pay 200 or less. befor i had 2 12inch pioneer's (the blue ones) and im looking at theese.
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Jense...oductDetail.do my pioneers were in a seald box....would i be happy with this set up? or does any one have any suggestions |
one of my friends used to have that setup, the box glowed blue or something, they were OK for 200$...they hit hard but are not as clear as mine, but then again i spent around 3k for my system so thats normal

If you want a pre-setup bandpass box for cheap look into this one..
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-fBovPdL...28V123BP&g=510 ![]() I've got them powered by a 600 watt (250 rms) Visonik amp and they're decent subs for the price. I've had mine in since July and I haven't had any problems (except for the amp acting up just today, I probably wouldn't recommend the amp that's in the $250 package, haha) They hit hard-ish, but if you're buying new subs you maybe should upgrade. But if you insist this is a good box of subs for the price from what I've found |
i actually just bought a visonik sub and amp at walmart fa 40$...it suprised me how it sounded...i guess now its a toss between the visonik and jensen

The little 10" Sub, box, n amp combo?
I saw that and considered it to replace those 2 12"s I took out of my room to put in my trunk yesterday. |
yeah, it really surprised me...i have it hooked to a 600 watt sony Xplode amp tho, and my cd player has a setting so i can do ajustments there...does that box have lights in it? (visonik)
|
Nope, I've wanted to put some in but I've hesitated for fears of no being able to seal the small hole from the wires good enough afterward.
|
i have the 10" version of the visonik's and have had them for about three years. they work great and don't sound to bad either.

barf...
Heres an idea, seriously: http://tcsounds.com/db500.htm For $150 these will stomp out any of them crappy subs posted so far. Make a box 3 cubic feet sealed, feed them about 400-500 WRMS each and they will sing... If you want to go even cheaper, Wal Mart has a 12: Durabrand sub on clearance for around 20-25$... I bought one today to test out, why not for $20? |
im confuesed...with a mono amp can u hook 2 subs?
|
yes u can, i have duel 12" Alpine Type S subs with a 800Watt mono V-power amp, my 6x9's are type s's and my 4x6's r type s's, total 1000WATTS. but only cost me $900 brand new, I got connections at my Visions Electronics Store, :)
