Israeli Alero
 

Hi everyone!

I'm really glad that I found this site! My name is Alon, and I'm from Israel.

I'm not sure but I'm probably the only one on this forum that owns an Alero in Israel (yay!!), I own a 2000 GLS Alero.

There are not too many Alero's here, especially GLS ones and as some of u will probably guess they are also sold under as a Chevrolet brand.


Here are some photos of my Alero:









I think the mirrors black color came stock(I bought it used to I can't know for sure tho), Altho i've never seen an Alero in any color(except black) with black mirrors.

The chevy logo on the front is not stock too I guess, coz most of the Alero's here has the Oldsmobile logo in the front.

The black mirrors = stock
and the chevy logo = stock
all aleros from certain years (i dont know which at the moment) came with Black mirrors.
As for the chevy logo, foreign aleros Not including canada, have the chevy badge hence the name Chalero.

I am surprised to see a GLS with black mirrors. I am used to body color matching.

Yeah i dont know why but the pics came off pretty big on the message, sorry bout that.

Regarding the badge, I guess only the 2000 ones(?) came with it to Israel becuase all of the aleros i've seen so far in Israel(from different years) got the oldsmobile logo.

Better parts? I don't think there are "better" parts, all of Israel is a one good holy part.

doh... sorry. I'm a moron. I was getting israel mixed up with lebanon... I have some friends from there, and they were always complaining about "local" matters.

Alon, it looks like you need to repair the passenger side headlight.

Intersting that it has the Malibu emblem up front, not the plain Chevy one like other Euro Aleros.

I like that chevy emblem more than the other one.... and yeah, your passenger headlight... the turn signal bulb's orange piece fell off. lol

Welcome to the site though! I think you might rank as the farthest aleromod member now...

and looks like you got either a custom exhaust or just some tips on the stock exhaust.... It does look like a nice place you live in! I've been wanting to take a trip there....

Whoa, that antenna mounted on the windshield looks a little weird. Welcome aboard
