Thoughts on paint
Alright, right now I'm debating whether I want to paint my car and wait til next summer til I get working on the turbo setup... or keep the stock color and get the chips and rust fixed.
Now before you say your decision, my uncle's done paint work before and I'm sure he could hook me up with it fairly cheap for the full thing. I'm going to more than likely make my decision based on the amount of money it'll cost because I don't want too get too far behind and not be able to put the turbo in til next years winter or later. So what do you think I should do? Fix chips and fix up the paint or repaint the whole damn thing? (btw I have the stock dark brown paint with the leather interior) If I would repaint the car... what colors would you guys and girls suggest? I'm thinking either a dark dark blue thats almost black or a metallic black. |
Turbo set up first FTW! who cares bout paint when ur ho is runnin 12's, Id rather have a sleeper anyday over a car with a pimped out paint job, thats just my 2 cents tho

yeah i would go wit the turbo setup, and just fix the chips for now until you acquire adequate funds to paint the whole car, and then get a nice non factory paintjob to go with the installed snail in your hood

holy hell!! shouldnt even need to ask this!! TURBO FTW!!!

Eh, I started with visuals on my overhaul... Full interior and exterior re-do. Paint job was about $2000, rims and tires were $1100, body kit fiasco has cost me just $430 so far, but we'll see how that goes... Interior vinyl and padding was about $100, seats and 5-point harnesses were $300 total, prolly about $100 on paint and liquid vinyl stuff for the interior...
So that's about $4k total on looks, $0 on performance. Not a single engine mod yet other than $30 for my infamous PVC WAI. :p It's all about what you want, really. I do plan to do engine mods, but the body of my Alero was pretty jacked when I got it and it was that light blue color you see fags driving with rainbow stickers on the trunk lid all the time lol. I just want a hot looking car for the moment, since this is going to go to my son someday anyway and I want him to be old enough to remember a bit about the process of doing all the mods (He's about 6 right now). Good luck, -Brad |
sounds good.... alright it's settled.... fix chips and rust, then turbo
|
good plan even jus primer it, then turbo, then paint

You know what I'm going to say...
