i found a set of wheels i really want. they are an 18" w/ an offset of 42. but they are a 114.3 pattern. will these work.

2: 114.3 should work, but you *might* need hubcentric rings to prevent vibration.

Yes they will work and no the will not shake. Just make sure when you tighten them they are flush with the rotor.

Oh my god, what is wrong with you people. Would you just think a little bit about what a hubcentric ring is, and then tell me how that has ANYTHING to do with the bolt pattern?!?!?! IT DOESN'T!! The rings are there to snug the wheel onto the hub, thus making up for any differences in centerbore from stock. The little difference in bolt pattern shouldn't make a difference in drivability, but just check your lugs a little more often.

Someone needs to put the centerbore measurement on the rims and tire FAQ page...to stop all this nonsense.

Which wheels are you looking at?

If you get them from tirerack they give you eveything you need to put the wheels on your car

The thing is, most rims that are 114.3 bolt pattern are intended for mustang and f-body applications, which have larger centerbores. So, like 75% of the time, if you get a 114.3 bolt pattern, it will need hub centric rings. If the centerbore of the rims are too large, and you just tighten it down without proper centering rings, there is no way in hell you will get all 4 perfectly alligned, and you'll wind up with shaking at certain speeds. Plus, if you do it that way, you will place too much strain on the lug bolts, and you'll snap them eventually.

Well put naich. But remember, it's not the 114.3 that makes you have to get the rings, its the centerbore. Even if you order a bolt pattern of 5x115 (which is stock), you STILL may have to get hubcentric rings, depending on the centerbore. My 17's are almost 3mm off on centerbore, but the bolt pattern is 5x115.
