Window Tint

within the last 2 days me and my friend put a 20% tint on the ho....the windows look great no thumbs no bubbles didnt turn purple awesome....(beginners luck)...the back windshield however was a lil harder and im left with a few fingers here and there but from 10 feet away you cant see nothing so im debating whether i should remove it and try differently or to just leave it on there like it is ....all in all i think we did an amazing job for a couple of teenagers on there first time. ;)

I tinted my driver and passanger front windows awhile back and effed up twice. You have to keep that shit wet or it just sticks to everything. I wore rubber gloves so no finger prints.

That's why the $170 was well worth it. A few years later and it still looks great. :)

yea we used ALOT of water so we could move it into place ....... i saw a professional tint job to my friends car and they left that sh*t purple sure it was cut nice but it was PURPLE so i just decided to go ahead and do it myself and only spend 20 bucks

roogz9 06-19-2007 11:16 AM

mine cost me 120 for 5% all around w/ a 4 door i'd say not bad at all.... just got i ticket tho, so it might have to go

The purple is from shitty tint-film that loses it's yellow pigment too fast.
Also, if you're having trouble, put shampoo in the spray bottle along with the water. I tried it with JUST water one time. Didn't work at all, the shampoo is nice because it allows you to actually slide it around, like it lubricates it more or something.

ya ur sposed to use baby shampoo and water. you dont need much shampoo though

also a little tip for when you go to wash your windows after its on.......stay away from windex!!! thats also one of the reasons it fades faster to, i belive its b/c of the alcohol in it

tonyboi261 06-19-2007 11:29 PM

i thought it was the ammonia??........yea i bought this armor all window cleaner ..its ammonia free XD

One of the best things to use to clean your glass is sprayway.
It's cheap, no ammonia, and available in most supermarkets.
