Stupid people!!!

Ok first off im not sure how many members drive their cars on gravel roads but i do so here's my problem... So pretty much eveyone knows that it is common knowledge that when your on a gravel road and are you are meeting a car to slow down to around 50-60 kph to prevent your car from flinging a rock at the passing car... but today i was on a gravel road and some C*NT in a half-ton went flying by me at like 120 kph and smoked my hood with a rock. I guess my point of this thread is people should use that grey matter between their ears a little more often.. Heres a pic below.

holy shit, thats nasty for a damn rock hit!!! crazy man!
|
I see perfectly what you mean. I drove on a gravel road 2 weeks ago and some bastards are crazy on those. I was hardly goin 40 km/h just to prevent rocks from goin all over the car when ppl were passing by at 100 km/h with boats or caravans behind them. Tried to avoid them as much as possible goin as far right on the road as I could. I was lucky this didn't happened.

ya all i saw a golf ball sized rock shoot straight up..
|
lol you got owned... where abouts were ya?
|
Oxbow, right in the southeast corner 20 min from manitoba and 10 min from US border
|
Not sure if this is relevent..
Im thinking of making up some bumper stickers.. its going to piss off about 50% of the driving population... but thats what B Stickers are all about.. what do you think.. here it is.. it would be oval, like the country origin ones.. Your Safe Male driver inside You sense some bitterness? haha.. this comming from a person that has had 4 different women, write off 4 different cars of mine.. haha |
damn that would piss me off. i had a big ass rock it my window, its still got a chip in it.

I've driven on gravel and dirt roads. I prefer the dirt roads. When I was on a gravel road, a car flung up a rock that hit the windshield. This was a company GMC Safari and the windshield had to be replaced. It absolutely sucks.
|
I learned the lesson of not doing 60mph on a dirt road. It's really hellish on your alignment. :D

That's a pretty odd place to be. Either way I'd be pissed. |
That sucks. I guess it's pretty safe to say that she would have no libility either :(
Wouldn't insurance cover that? |
Sorry to hear that but unfoutunatly(sp?) that is just one of the risks of driving on a gravel road. I live on a gravel road and drive on it every day. I have never had a stone fly up and hit the windshield or chip the hood like that before. Any time I've really got hit with a stone it was one the highway (right now my trucks windshield looks like it's been through a war)...go figure.

Ya luckily I have a $50 deductable, but every time you use it you policy costs more to renew.
|
Oooo! Nice! since i lowered my car i can no longer drive on gravel. in saskatchewan, they wait until the gravel rises up in the middle of the road until scapes the bottom of a half ton, then just level it until theres no gravel left. i have troubles when there arn't any ruts.
|
Ahhh yes, good ol SGI. I love the insurance out here. Personally I would just try to buff some of it out, yeah the dent will still be there but you can make it almost not noticable. Just get a buffer or some touch up paint. When you have that low of a deductible they jack the premiums up pretty quick.

thats what happens when ur going 60 mph on a gravel road! come on dude wtf
