Not new to alero but new to forums!
 

Hello everyone. Not a new alero owner but new to the forums. I have actually owned my 01 alero for about 2 1/2 years and I threw a rod in March. It has just sat the last few months as I have decided on what it's fate is going to be. After stumbling across this forum I have decieded to throw another engine in it and make it my "project" car. I only decided to do this after learning of the numerous options I have available. Thank you to everyone that has answered all of the questions in the forum as I have learned a tremendous amount about my car and it's potentials.

Sorry about the reply in Darren8r's thread. It's a saturday night and I am a little :drunk:.. it's been a long week.

My alero is an 01 with the 2.4L super hard to find a motor that will go in w/o mods but after coming here i am going to rebuild an engine i came across today and hopefully keep my alero.

Im rebuilding my TC motor also and adding Quad specs such as the oil pump, cams, and intake manifold. What do you plan to do? Good luck

lol it's not really endless... it comes to an end when you sell the car... like 80% of us have done lol

haha that just aint true yeah some of the members here have sold their Alero but most of the members still have their Alero man...

its just the age of it its normal with any car that is no longer manufactured.. its easy for u to talk since u sold your car (and got a mazda which is a shitty ass car that is also too popular over here) but let all of the people that own their Alero enjoy it and stop bashing... if u want to keep bashing it go to the mazda forum and tell your mazda friends how much your Alero sucked (or u already did that) :coolio:

Actually Gr1m I am extremely green when it comes to the alero and the 4 bangers. I plan on putting another 2.4 in it but when I do the rebuild I am going to supercharge it as well. I have read the posts all over the forum about the SCs and think for me that would be the best option. No solid plans yet just going to see where the alero takes me.

Oh and sorry for forgetting you and the real subject man... WELCOME!!
