Gas Door
I saw someone alero a while ago that had one of those nice aluminum gas caps on it and i really liked it! But what cap do you buy and is it an easy bolt on or does it take alot of fab work to get it to work?
i believe that a mustang billitt gas door will work on our car, but it does require a bit of fab work...
doubt that highly, it was a sticker type, it sticks on over gas cap, they are terribly common, and cheap.. (looking)
no, i think it was Pimpalero03 that had one on his alero... it was a mustang door, but it required some modification to fit right, if i remember correctly...
http://www.pimpalero03.freehomepage.com/photo3.html go there, its the first picture on the page... |
I see it there. What kinda fab work are we talking?
that's not pimpalero's car. I beleive his is white or silver.
There's 2 PimpAleros. PimpAlero03 and PimpAlero2003. Talk about confusing, hah.
pimpalero03 had the blue alero bagged with the billet gas door from a mustang, looked nice
i could get ahold of him if you want to know for sure |
Id really like to now because it looks really nice!
i have an f150 door got for cheap had to trim abit and u have to drill holes
it's the mustang bullitt one, yes it is aluminum, not a cheapass sticker. you can buy them at ford dealerships (saw one last week), and they run about $90. fab work involves *gasp* hackin off some plastic around the filler cap so it fits in the existing space where the stock fuel door rested.
got mine for 25 needed to do what i said and also had to take the neck out and cut where the magnetic poper thing is i still have mine but not on my car since someone stole screws off of it
i used the mustang billet cap. pretty easy install. trim a little, drill a little.
