on my way home from work my service engene light came on...no symptoms at all car runs like always...could it be something stupid?

it could easily be something stupid that has already fixed itself. The light will just stay on a while afer the problem.

will it clear by driving like 60 miles liek the fords?

You can disconnet the battery for 15min and hook it back up to clear it.

and if its doesn't go away after that you might actually have a problem. But the light comes on for things that really don't make a difference sometimes, like canister purge or something.

Yeah you have to get it scanned.

Probably just a sensor or something

Better safe then sorry. Get it scanned asap! Could be alot more to it.
