125000 + mile on the alero runs great i have had it since 35000. synth. fluid in every thing oil changed, regularlly. cleaned air filter. replacing my 2nd ps pump in 90000 miles. 3 sets of front rotors 2 sets of front calipers, both wheel bearings ( l and r)

now the bad stuff : never done !!

never did a tune up (plugs,wires,pcv valve if app. and etc...) best products ?
timing chain best product ?


i would like to rebuild the motor who it the best fo a kit for the whole job.

should i do top or bottom end or both ? or get a lower milage motor?

a rebuild is a big job and expensive if you cant do it yourself. i guess it really depends on how far you tear it down. i have never heard of anyone selling a rebuild kit though. talk to the guys over on 60degreev6.com about it.

Why rebuild a motor that runs great?

If it runs and sounds fine keep running it!

Theres no reason she shouldnt be good for another 125000 miles if you keep up on oil.

150,000 is usually the mark for the 60* V6 The rods break lose from the crank and one will go, then the rest will just go, pop pop pop pop pop pop,and the motor is now blown

20 over here too, it is definately expensive, just do your research, i think you might be better off starting with a lower mileage motor, or do a 3500 or possibly a 3900 swap.....
