Hey all. I have a 2003 GL with sport suspension. Love it, except two things (well three, but I expect the brake rotors to warp based on previous experience)
- Intermittent knock, sometimes more like a creak/clank, from the passenger front. For the life of me and the dealer can't find it. Seems worse when its cold out. It won't do it some days, but other days it does it does it alot. Cracks in the pavement seem to cause it more than deeper bumps. Difficult to replicate, every time I take it in it won't do it when I drive with the tech, but they did tighten up the catalytic convertor heat sheild which was making some noise as well and replace the sway bar bushings. My other thought was the strut mounts, but they are both new after I creamed a pothole at 80km/h driver's side. - Brake pedal clicks. Did it new and the tech said it was the brake light switch. Now it clicks twice, at the start and when fully pressed. Maybe i'm just being picky. Anyhow any input you have would be great. Thanks! |
If you have replaced the sway bar bushings, then it could very well be the stut mounts. I similiar topic was discussed here

I have a 03 GX and I have some of the same problems. For one, the rotors and pads were replaced at 16k. I had a popping noise when I turn and they replaced the sway bar bushings and that fixed that. Also my brake pedal clicks which is the switch under the dash. I just assume its no big deal.
