Help with CF Bezel
So how exactly do I remove the clear plastic cover from the black plastic housing that goes over the gauge system so I can put the carbon fiber gauge bezel on?
It appears to be melted together or something. Don't want to pry on it in fear of cracking. |
you need to use a dremel. then when you put the bezel in use clear silicone to put the plastic back on
lame.
C2 i put mine in with out cutting anything
from the back side of the clear glass housing thru one of the holes that the tach or speedometer it will fit with a little patience |
it is flexible enough to bend but not crease to fit in the hole
yeah i was trying that at first then i gave up
i tried to take apart the clear lense without a dremel and cracked it.... now looking for a new one :(
got it in by fitting it through the tach hole, wasn't hard at all lol:

That looks good.
So it doesnt have the plastic peice on it anymore
the carbon fiber is an overlay, the plastic bezel is still there, under it
i like it, where did you get it at?
eBay, they pop up every once in a while
Looks nice. Good Job.

I want one... looks nice to!
to all those that are going to get it:
I had it. if you do indeed get it, make sure you protect your car from heat. mine craked in 3 places because of the excessive heat in the summer time. I loved the look of it when I had it, but I never felt motivated enough to buy another one. LOL |
is that actual carbon fiber? or is it printed? and how much was it?
