You could get an entire exhaust system for the same price

that comes with the downpipe and both flanges, you dont really need that, you could just buy like a $150 cat and have an exhaust shop cut out the old one and weld in the new one for a fraction of the price of that setup. and no you wont really notice any change in noise of your exhaust unless you completely remove the cat.

no its only 169 at my local parts store
