i was wondering in nj if it is illegal to take off all the badges on the back of your car? so far i only have taken off the oldsmobile symbol and oldsmobile but left on the letters alero.

i have never heard of any such law in any state. and if it is just remember that ignorance is bliss. debadge away!

seriously, it might be an easy question, but you can't blame the guy for asking. I mean, police do like to have badging to identify cars and whatnot.

But it is definately not illegal to debadge your car.

I just left the olds symbol on the back of my car. Already I have had the comment of "what car is that?"
