Holy Hell.. Need HELP!
 

Ok,

As many know.. I bagged my alero this week. Everything is great except this small problem I have with the front..

The strut shafts are stripped.. BOTH sides. Apparently the bolt that came with the bags was the wrong pitch. SO... it threaded on the strut, but as you started to torque on it, it started to eat threads.

I bought a tap and dye set tonight from Advanced Auto. I took a look at the kit, and a look at the strut.. And I have decided that I dont even want to attempt to use a dye on this thing.


Heres my question.. Where would I take these to get them professional recut? I was thinking perhaps an autobody shop? I just have no idea and my car is about 3 days from being put back to stock and everything throw in the trash. Im exhausted, my brain hurts, my hands are cut to shits, and I have no car to drive. Any input would be awesome..

A machine shop/welding shop should be able to do it.
