is this the thermostat housing ?
ok so i am trying this again... what you see is the back side of the exhaust manifold near the fire wall... the cam is pointed in between the gaps of the E.M. what i have circled i am guessing is the thermostat housing. if it is how do i get to it. the E.M. is in my way on top and at the bottom the oil pans right there.. i am so tired of fighting with this thing and am really about tired of trying to do things to this alero and it just not working for me but some help would be much appreciated

its very easy to do, for the looks of it you have one of the screws of already out now for the other screw you need a 1/4 inch extencion and a 8mm sock it, then once you got them screws off you want to go under the car and loosen up a 13mm bolt thats holding the metal pipe to the oil pan, once thats off you can pull the pipe down and the thermostat will come out. when yo put the new one on make sure the thermostat sits in there with the weight up..ok, you will be able to put it back on with no problem from the top of the car by your self, dont forget to get the gasket for it also, its just an o-ring.
well hope that helped, if not ill try to get some pics on how to do it |
ok i think thats gonna help
