Question, i have a 2001 2.4L4 Alero. Has this engine a PCV-valve ?, if yes, where is the location ? my car has run only 23.500km (14.600 miles) is these 7 years, do i need to replace this PCV-valve ? greetings Patrick |
wow only 23500km in 7 years? Mine is also 2001 and i had almost 100 000 km and now the engines is dead, i'm rebuilding it from scrach :)

PCV baffle, yes, it's on the front of the engine block under the intake manifold. No, you shouldn't need to replace it. Why would you?

hi, every body
The reason i asked it, i have also a Chevrolet Camaro 3.8V6 from 2001, and the PCV-valve must replaced every four years or 60.000km. but i could not find anything for my Alero. greetings Patrick |
Patrick, as long as there are no problems with it, the original PCV valve on the Alero will not need to be changed for the life of the vehicle.

I could not think of any problem happening with that part except maybe for the gasket to go bad, but still I really doubt even if it goes bad that can bring serious problem to the engine considering the actual thickness of this gasket, those who took that part off will understand

And that's where you suck in the Seafoam, Right?
