GTO calipers
Ok I searched and I found 1 thread that mentioned GTO calipers to be possibily used on our cars...but it wasnt confirmed....so do anybody know for sure if we can use GTO calipers on ours cars? If so does the GTO year make a difference?
|
GTOs were Australian made by Holden, so the brakes setup including the brackets will not fit without special custom brackets. Corvette, impalas and camero work with our becasue they are all made by PBR.
|
The back of my PBR Vette calipers says made in Australia. Food for thought.
|
But were the caliper for the GTO made by PBR?
Edit: I did came across that thread in GAGT a few months back and no one comfirm this. So I am led to believe that this is the case. |
GTO calipers work! Eddie on A-E-D has them on his GAGT.

Bolt on or did he modify it? |

In case you didn't know, PBR is an Australian company and GTO calipers actually say PBR right on them. Quote:
They go right on. You still need the F-Body brackets though. The print on the (red) GTO calipers is just a decal as well, so it will peel off. |
and i can make decals to replace them... already made a bunch of wilwood decals.

Hey Alerored 04 what size of rim are you running with those brakes
|
^ pretty sure 18" is the min for the vette calipers. thats what alerored has
|
I have 18" for summer but I checked my stock 16" for winter use and they fit. I know the rears look funny but I only did this mod cause one of my front calipers seized up and I needed half of the new parts anyways. I am most definitely not going to spend $400+ on rear brakes that wont help much.
