it is the alero alpha (the concept that became the alero)

i have that picture sitting in my living room along with the one of the 3 red OSV's across from it on the other side of my lliving room. This Picture in 1997 was what prompted me to get one. This was the original protoype and the pick was in road and track and motor trend november december of 1997. I remember I was standing in a 7-11 flipping through the magazine when i saw the pic and said to myself WTF i just about laughed in excitement and from that day I know I would have one.

One question. Not saying the present Alero is ugly, but that prototype if friggin awesome!!! Was was it "dumbed down" so much??

that's just gm prototypes in general, either they are right on and don't change hardly anything, or go way the hell out there and basically build a whole different car.......
