not sure, it's really small, take off the shifter (there is a pin on the side closest the stereo) and pull up on the front cup holder, that whole assy. will pull out, you can look at the bulb, and also change the 194 bulb under the P, R, N, D, etc with a blue led one.

if u want good lighting, go with cold cathodes....very bright, and dirt cheap compared to regular neons...

Silentalero 06-03-2004 10:35 AM

only drawback...extremely flimsy...you tap it with anything n snap its gone

ptrudel 06-03-2004 10:44 AM

so very true...silent, did u use the velcro crap they sent to fasten the tubes?

keytonic 06-03-2004 10:50 AM

that velcro doesn't hold up very well your better off with double faced tape

Silentalero 06-03-2004 11:13 AM

pfft, na i secure my stuff good, just poke 4 holes around the squared ends and tie wrap em in there.

ptrudel 06-03-2004 11:19 AM

iite cool..thanx silent...cuz ya, that velcro doesn't hold worth of poop

funny thing is i just order some led's and cathodes and was gonna post a question as to favorite (sturdy) mounting methods.... now i know. man i love this site... :D

Question about the cold cathodes, I read where some of the colors are a little of, like red is more of a pink. Was wondering how true this is.

alerov6rcr 06-03-2004 02:16 PM

how do you cahnge the bulb under the p,r,n,d,3,2,1?

ptrudel 06-03-2004 02:22 PM

well i dunno about the red...but i got the green ones, and they are definately green...and the blue ones are blue too, my sis has 'em in her cavy

Silentalero 06-03-2004 02:38 PM

Ok yes that is true about the cathodes.

Red is sorta pinkish

Blue is teal

green is a lighter green

becasue of the amount of light they give out the coors get distorted

and the shifter lights i had to put 4 leds in there that are aimed perfectly up towards it...PITA to line up but i used blue leds and it lights up bright blue...same with my HVAC knobs

ptrudel 06-03-2004 02:41 PM

^mine are really green silent...not light at all...a nice bright but dark neon green

It is a 194 bulb. It is simple just lfit on the plastic peice it will come up. You will then see the light. It takes a slight twist and it will come out. Replace and put back together.

You wouldn't by chance have a pic of the red would you. Do not want pink interior.
