check engine light went on
went on this morning on the way to work. Temp, fine. didn't run out of oil, so that's fine, brakes/abs work, lights and all that work.
it's really wet and slushy here and I hit a pot hole, could it be something with the O2 sensor? How do you reset it with out going to a garage? Is there a way to get a code by turning the key? I could do that with my Jeep, I'd turn it 3 times and it would flash a code. thanks |
no you use an OBD-II scanner.
go to an auto place like AutoZone if they have them in canada |
if theres an autozone near you they will read it for free, once you get the codes i would come back here and post what they are before you end up buying parts that your not sure of and dont actually need.

gas cap was loose, oops, stupid full sevice jockey
Auto Value checked the code and reset if for me no cost, very nice of them. The cheap ass garages up here would charge you the minimum of $65 |
