Help doing with out the a/c compressor

well i got the a/c compressor metal grinding/whining sound from the a/c compressor clutch, there is metal shavings in/on the clutch.
im worried that the clutch will sieze and blow the belt.
i need to find a cheap compressor or just bypass it with a shorter belt
i need this fixed asap! could someone help with either a belt number or something
not such a big deal to me is that she is pulling hard to the left when she is cold could that be a brake caliper or strut? the tire pressure is spot on.
please no b.s.
i need help
thank you for your time
Dave

Just remove the clutch... lol.

I have a spare compressor though I could ship off to you.

it could be pulling because its alignment is off. did you slide into anything hard or hit any large potholes over the winter in maine? that could have made something move a bit. also, your tie rod ends could be going bad and need replacement. how many miles are on your car?

as for the A/C compressor, i'd say you should call around to your local chain auto part stores and see how much a compressor is. Auto Zone always seems to be cheaper than Murray's (O'Reilly's) but idk what you have out there in maine.

p.s. a 4 wheel alignmenmt usually costs 70-100 dollars. a front wheel alignment costs $40-$50.

If you are not to concerned about going without a/c, you can get an a/c bypass pulley. I don't think they are more than $30 or so. You can use the stock belt with that setup.

bonez1203 03-18-2009 11:15 AM

can you tell me where to get it
