can you guys tell me if XENON HID HEADLIGHT (blue) lamps are legal in all states?
|
9006=low beam
9005=high beam And I'm pretty sure that those bulbs are legal in all 50 states......unless someone knows for sure otherwise...but yeah they will work. :thumbsup: |
Check your state laws. Every state is different, and it also depends on if the cops are roosters.

so you know. should be legal in most states, some states hassle you for any blue tint in your lights, but i'm not sure if they can ticket you for it. no problems in ky, tn, and co thus far. |

alright.. got it down to 2.. 3157? or 194?

Blue is illegal in California, as is brighter than stock headlights (Silverstars) but the cops usally don't mess with you just for that.....
Always check your state laws if you are not sure or if you are concerned. |

went out to check up on things..
1. how do you get the black piece to come off? 2. how do you replace (take out) the lo-beam? 3. will it be okay to clear corner while its raining? leaving the car without the headlamp assembly in the rain? |
which black piece? The rubber one? Can you explain (possibly illustrate) what you mean?
to take out the bulbs, just twist and pull. Be sure you check the angle of the wires going to the harness. Nothing really important, just makes it easier to put it back together. As long as you aren't doing your work outside, it should be alright. To be safe though, you can use a garbage bag and masking tape to cover up the hole. |
thx albino.. will cover with trashbag.. the black piece.. hmm.. i took the driver's side of the headlamp assembly.. by the yellow cover.. there is a lamp (194) and next to that there is another lamp (3157).. then lo-beam.. den hi beam.. the assembly is connected at 3 places.. the 194, 3157, and then one near the middle of the car.. have no idea what dat is.. or how to take it out.. (sorry guys.. im new at all this..)

WOW. ;) You would think that IMPROVING night-time driving conditions would be PREFERRED, not frowned upon... >in an old-man's voice< " That's re-god-damned-diculous ! " :lol: |
okay here we go.. got the driver's side of the light out.. lets see what happens
|
er, all you do is pull up on the 2 tabs and the light comes right out after disconnecting the wiring. not like it's rocket science or anything.
