Brake Hose
Hey I was changing my brakes and rotors and I decided to take the brake line off the caliper to get more room to work with instead of working in the wheel well. I hooked the line back up and tightened but now when i press the brakes, fluid squirts out where the line meets the metal rectangle (Where the line crimps to the part that screws in.)
=====[0] ![]() What is wrong here? The line doesn't look damaged at all. Do I need a new brake line now? |
Hmmm, you may have damaged it.
prolly bent it and broke the seal. not real familiar with brake lines so i cant tell ya what to do.
there is a little compression fitting that goes between the hose and the caliper. you might need to replace that. (or it fell out and you didn't notice)
Well just replaced it, was only $10. Quick question, it came with 2 washers, does 1 go on the top and 1 on the bottom or both on the bottom?
One on each side. Just make sure the old ones are off. Sometimes they stick on the caliper or banjo bolt.
