hubs again?
Hey all.
I just ran into a little problem on graduation day... Driving to campus for pictures turned a corner and my ABS/TracOff/SVS lights came on. Nothing else happened, no noise, no vibrating, nothing. When coming home from campus the lights were off until I came up to a stop sign and applied the brakes. Then the lights came on again and the ABS system stopped my car, instead of normal breaking. I haven't found anyone else having this problem so I thought I'd see if this is a symptom of needing to replace hubs again? I replaced them once right after I bought the car in 2002. (it's a 2001) I haven't inspected the breaks yet, but they have not been giving me trouble so I don't think it's just them being worn and not able to stop the car. Any help is appreciated! |
sounds like the ABS sensor in the hubs are Fooking up..
check the connections |
ya, check the connections. same thing was happening to me few weeks ago, and my hubs are only about a year old. i checked all the connections, and pushed on the harness going to the hub just to be sure. put it all back together and havent had a light come on since.

Yeah, I have something similar with mine that's happening. The EBCM stored a code for excessive variation in the left front hub. Either sometimes the ABS would kick in or the low trac light would come on.

I had a similar experience on Saturday night heading home from work. Lately, the three lights will come on sometimes. But it's not constant, weird.

huh, how does the car detect the bad hubs when it is only an ABS sensor?
